Oxygen carriers from incineration bottom ash for chemical looping combustion of syngas: Effect of composition on combustion efficiency

Summary: The study explored the potential of incineration bottom ashes (IBA) as oxygen carriers (OCs) for chemical looping combustion (CLC). It was found that the Fe2O3 and CaSO4 in IBA were major sources of available lattice oxygen in the investigated oxygen carriers. The study concluded that IBA compounds without further treatment have high potential for CLC process.
