Effects of carbon sources on the culture of giant river prawn in biofloc system during nursery phase

Summary: In this study, different carbon sources were used to compare the growth performance of giant river prawn postlarvae in a biofloc technology system. It was found that the maize starch treatment had the best feed conversion rate, while the final weight, weight gain, and specific growth rate were similar among the five treatments. Additionally, the maize starch group had higher gross return, net return, and benefit-cost ratio compared to other groups. The highest lipid content was observed in the maize starch bioflocs.
