This case report describes a 50-year-old woman who presented to the emergency department with abdominal pain, febrile hepatosplenomegaly, and was ultimately diagnosed with suprahepatic vein thrombosis secondary to COVID-19. Initially, the patient was not placed in a private room due to the atypical presentation, leading to a COVID-19 outbreak in the emergency department.
We described a case report of a 50 years-old-woman admitted to the emergency department with abdominal pain associated with febrile hepatosplenomegaly with the final diagnosis of suprahepatic vein thrombosis secondary to COVID-19. Initially, this patient stayed out of a private room because of this atypical presentation and caused a COVID-19 outbreak in the emergency department. (C) 2021 Elsevier Inc. All rights reserved.
