Plant drought resistance is a complex quantitative trait controlled by multiple genes, with research indicating various strategies to cope with drought stress, yet the role of the rhizosphere remains largely overlooked. Therefore, an integrated rhizosphere management strategy may be an effective approach for mitigating drought stress.
