Protective efficacy of Nigella sativa seeds against diethyl phthalate induced growth retardation, oxidative stress and histo-biochemical damages in Labeo rohita

Maria Latif et al.

Summary: The study demonstrated that Nigella sativa seeds have potential in ameliorating growth retardation, oxidative stress, and histobiochemical changes induced by diethyl phthalate in Labeo rohita fingerlings. The supplementation of N. sativa showed beneficial effects in improving growth rates, muscle protein contents, antioxidant enzymes activities, and histological changes in the liver, kidney, and gills of the fish exposed to diethyl phthalate.
