Anti-corrosion performance of covalent layer-by-layer assembled films via click chemistry reaction on the copper surface

Summary: This study demonstrates that constructing covalent layer-by-layer assembly films on copper surfaces can significantly enhance corrosion resistance, with an optimum of three assembly layers achieving a protection efficiency of 96.9%. The mechanism of protection is attributed to the formation of covalent triazole films catalyzed by cuprous oxide, as discussed through surface analysis and molecular dynamics simulations.
