Can the assessment of ultrasound lung water in haemodialysis patients be simplified?

Claudia Torino et al.

Summary: The study found that the 8-sites lung ultrasound score is closely related to the traditional 28-sites score and has similar predictive power for patient mortality and cardiovascular events. However, the 8-sites score is more time-efficient and better suited for everyday clinical practice in hemodialysis units when compared to the 28-sites score.
