Immunoreactivity and neutralization capacity of Philippine cobra antivenom against Naja philippinensis and Naja samarensis venoms

Choo Hock Tan et al.

Summary: The study found that the venom of Philippine cobra and Samar cobra exhibited high neurotoxicity and lethality in mice. PCAV showed strong and comparable immunoreactivity towards these venoms, but only demonstrated moderate effectiveness in neutralizing their toxicity. PCAV had lower neutralization potency against Samar cobra venom compared to Philippine cobra venom.
