The experimental results show that the magnetic properties of the amorphous and crystalline phases of Fe48Mo14Cr15C15B6Y2 differ significantly, with the amorphous phase exhibiting spin-glass behavior and the crystalline phase exhibiting ferromagnetic behavior. These findings provide important insights into magnetic PCMs and can contribute to the rapid development and application of magnetic-transition-based devices.
The rarely studied magnetic transition in phase-change materials (PCMs) is discussed. The Fe48Mo14Cr15C15B6Y2 PCM with a novel magnetic transition is prepared. The experimental results indicate that the magnetic properties of the amorphous and crystalline phases of Fe48Mo14Cr15C15B6Y2 are significantly different. The amorphous film exhibits a spin-glass behavior due to a disordered atomic arrangement, while the crystalline film exhibits a ferromagnetic behavior owing to its long-range ferromagnetic interaction. The findings provide important insights into magnetic PCMs, which can contribute to the rapid development and application of magnetic-transition-based devices.
