The study showed that children who received hepatitis B vaccine at six years old maintained a good level of antibodies after vaccination, and demonstrated a strong immune response after hepatitis B challenge.
Anti-hepatitis B (HBs) antibody persistence and hepatitis B challenge were evaluated at 6 years of age following vaccination of fully liquid DTaP-IPV-HB-PRP similar to T or reconstituted Mall-IPV-HB-PRP similar to T at 3. 5, 11-12 months of age. At 6 years, 53.8% and 73.5% had seroprotective anti-HBs antibodies (>= 10 mIU/mL), increasing to 96.7% and 95.9% postchallenge, confirming a strong anamnestic response in primed vaccinees.
