Entropy generation on magneto-convective flow of copper-water nanofluid in a cavity with chamfers

S. Marzougui et al.

Summary: This study calculates the irreversibility in nanofluid flow in a cavity with chamfers under the presence of a magnetic field through numerical methods. The impacts of parameters such as Hartmann number, elevation of magnetic field, and nanoparticle volume fraction were found to have significant effects on the flow process.

Thermal radiation and surface roughness effects on the thermo-magneto-hydrodynamic stability of alumina-copper oxide hybrid nanofluids utilizing the generalized Buongiorno's nanofluid model

Abderrahim Wakif et al.

Summary: This study investigated the effects of thermal radiation and surface roughness on the dynamics of water conveying alumina and copper oxide nanoparticles. It found that increasing Lorentz forces, thermal radiation, and surface roughness enhanced the appearance of convection cells, while stability decreased with higher volumetric fraction and diameter of nanomaterials. Substituting alumina nanoparticles with copper oxide nanoparticles significantly stabilized the hybrid nanofluidic medium.

MHD Casson nanofluid flow over nonlinearly heated porous medium in presence of extending surface effect with suction/injection

S. M. Abo-Dahab et al.

Summary: This study aims to elucidate the thermophysical aspects of viscoelastic fluid flow on a nonlinearized stretched surface. Various factors such as magnetic field, convective heating, suspended nanosized particles are considered, and the flow characteristics are revealed through graphical structures. Wall drag, thermal and mass fluxes are calculated and the credibility of the results is tested through comparison with previously published data.

Summary: The study proposes a numerical analysis of the flow and heat transport of nanoliquids with variable thermal conductivity near an extendable surface under the influence of a magnetic field. The attributes of nanoliquids explain Brownian motion and thermophoresis diffusion, positively affecting the thermal field.
