Linen Fabric-Jute Fabric-Fumed Silica-Epoxy Sandwich Laminate: AWJ Machining and Multi-Response Optimisation

Summary: This study focuses on machining a novel polymer sandwich laminate with a combination of industrial by-product and natural fibers using Abrasive Water Jet (AWJ) machining. Through multi-objective optimization, the optimal combination of machining parameters is predicted to achieve maximum material removal rate (MRR) and minimum kerf inclination (KI) characteristics. The standoff distance, traverse speed, and abrasive flow rate are identified as key parameters influencing the performance of AWJ machining on the laminate.
