Multiaxial random experimental fatigue tests were conducted with a new specimen geometry, using a circular specimen and a frequency resonance system. The proposed modal approach was validated both numerically and experimentally. The goal of the study was to define the Wodhler curve of the component using forecast data from the BVM method, with fractography analyses of the tested specimens to complete the investigation.
Multiaxial random experimental fatigue tests realized with a new specimen geometry are presented. Setting the circular specimen, it was possible to test ASTM A-105 material with a frequency resonance system. The proposed specimens' modal approach was numerically and experimentally validated. The goal of this work was to demonstrate to be able to define the Wodhler curve of the component made, using forecasts data came from the proposed BVM method. To complete the investigation, fractography analyses of the tested specimens were performed.
