Fabrication of novel magnetic CuS/Fe3O4/GO nanocomposite for organic pollutant degradation under visible light irradiation

Magnetically recoverable nickel ferrite coated with CuS nanocomposite for degradation of metronidazole in photocatalytic and photo fenton like processes

Summary: This study investigates the effectiveness of a magnetic nanocomposite in the photocatalytic and Fenton-like photocatalytic degradation of metronidazole (MNZ). The synthesized nanocomposite exhibits magnetic properties and good dispersibility, resulting in high degradation efficiency of MNZ. The photocatalytic process follows a pseudo-first-order kinetic model, while the Fenton-like photocatalytic process shows stable degradation efficiency. Therefore, the magnetic nanocomposite can effectively remove resistant organic drug contaminants.
