Thermo and light-responsive strategies of smart titanium-containing composite material surface for enhancing bacterially anti-adhesive property

Summary: This study focused on designing a composite material surface with smart response to adjust and enhance bacterial anti-adhesion by thermo and light-responsive strategies. The composite surface was demonstrated to greatly reduce bacterial adhesion by incorporating long-lasting antibacterial and hydrophilic constituents. The durable properties of antibacterial and bacterial anti-adhesive effects make it suitable for applications in mutable environments.

Isogeometric nonlinear oscillations of nonlocal strain gradient PFGM micro/nano-plates via NURBS-based formulation

Summary: This study investigates the size-dependent analysis of the geometrically nonlinear vibration response of micro/nano-plates made of porous functionally graded material (PFGM) with and without a central cutout, considering nonlocality and strain gradient size dependencies. It is found that the increase in nonlinear frequency due to the strain gradient size effect is greater than the reduction caused by nonlocality. Additionally, there is a specific length to thickness ratio value at which the nonlocal strain gradient frequency ratio becomes minimum, and this value increases with the porosity index of PFGM micro/nano-plates.
