Herein, we show a new photomagnetic system that gives rise to the magnetic transformation from diamagnetism to paramagnetism by photoinduced intramolecular charge transfer in the polyoxometalate-based organic-inorganic hybrid, [(VMo6O22)(2){O2C(CH2)(2)CO2}(3)] (1).
