Bioconversion of sago effluent and oil cakes for bio-butanol production using environmental isolates

A. Neethu et al.

Summary: The research focuses on the production of butanol using a novel strain Enterococcus hirae, which has shown resistance to butanol. The production capacity of butanol is high, and can be further optimized under specific conditions. These results suggest that sago spent waste can be utilized as a cost-effective substrate for sustainable production of bio-butanol.
