In this paper, we focus on designing sets of continuous/discrete phase sequences to enhance Signal to Interference plus Noise Ratio (SINR) of colocated Multiple Input Multiple Output (MIMO) radar systems. To this end, we assume the reflected signal of a moving target, is contaminated with noise and clutter, and jointly design transmit waveform and space-time receive filter by SINR maximization. The design problem is constrained and non-convex in general where using the Coordinate Descent (CD) framework, we propose an efficient algorithm to obtain the optimal solution. Fast Fourier Transform (FFT) is also utilized to reduce the computational complexity in designing a set of discrete phase sequences in this paper. Numerical examples indicate the excellent performance of the proposed algorithm in comparison with the state-of-the-art. (C) 2020 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved.
