In this study, a new tetracyclic depsidone derivative, guanxidone A, was isolated from the mangrove endophytic fungus and its structure was determined. It was found that guanxidone A exhibited significant anti-inflammatory effects.
A new tetracyclic depsidone derivative, guanxidone A (1), together with three known metabolites2-4, was isolated from the mangrove endophytic fungusAspergillussp. GXNU-A9. The structure of compound1was established by HR-ESI-MS, 1 D and 2 D NMR data, as well as by comparison with literature data. Compounds1-4were evaluated for their anti-inflammatory effects on the production of the nitric oxide (NO), and compound1significantly reduced the production of NO in lipopolysaccharide (LPS)-stimulated cells with IC(50)value of 8.22 mu M.
