Application of fuzzy analytical hierarchy process for assessment of desertification sensitive areas in North West of Morocco

Summary: The study utilized the modified MEDALUS method with a fuzzy inference system to identify environmentally sensitive areas to desertification in the Drader basin in Morocco. The results showed that fragile and critical areas comprise a majority of the region, with key characteristics including low plant cover, erosion resistance, and management quality.
