Summary: This study experimentally investigated the effects of solid concentration and temperature on the dynamic viscosity of a hybrid oil-based nanolubricant and proposed a new correlation for prediction. The LSSVM was then used to predict the dynamic viscosity behavior with excellent capability. Additionally, the study also examined the impact of adding hybrid nanoparticles on pumping power.

Summary: This paper demonstrates the efficiency of the SVR model in predicting the thermophysical properties, heat transfer performance, and pumping power of MWCNT/ZnO-engine oil hybrid nanofluid, and validates the model performance through statistical indices calculation. The results show that the proposed machine-learning technique is highly suitable for mapping complex relationships between variables.

Theoretical comparative assessment of single- and two-phase models for natural convection heat transfer of Fe3O4/ethylene glycol nanofluid in the presence of electric field

Summary: The natural convective heat transfer of Fe3O4/ethylene glycol nanofluids around a platinum wire heater was investigated numerically, with effects of various parameters and the influence of an electric field studied. Results showed that the two-phase flow model could better predict experimental data than the single-phase model, and increasing the volume fraction of nanoparticles beyond a certain point worsened heat transfer. Increasing voltage resulted in higher velocity vectors and buoyant force, enhancing the natural heat transfer coefficient of the nanofluid.
