CsPbX3 (X = Cl, Br or I) has been studied due to its outstanding optical properties. However, it is difficult to use in practical applications due to its poor stability. Currently, there are interesting examples of CsPbX3 compounded with glass substrates. The quantum efficiencies of CsPbX3 NC glasses are relatively low. In this work, we propose a simple method for fabricating Yb3+-doped CsPbI3 quantum dots in glass via a conventional melt quenching technique. It was found that the CsPbI3 NC glasses had blue-shifted emission with increasing amounts of the Yb(3+)dopant. The photoluminescence quantum yield (PLQY) of CsPbI3: Yb3+ NC glass reached from 20% to 66.7%. And the CsPbI3: Yb3+ NC glass exhibited good thermal stability. Moreover, the experimental results showed th*at the CsPbI3: Yb3+ glass could match the properties of a commercial fluorescent powder used to make white LEDs (WLEDs).
