An improved second-order moment mixture gas-particle turbulent model based on the Euler-Euler two continuum approach was developed to indicate the ultralight particle dispersion characteristics in swirling particleladen combustion chamber. In this model, the fully anisotropic behaviors of heavier and ultralight particle interactions were considered by a improved closure Reynolds stresses transport equations. Numerical simulation was performed and validation for single heavier particle flow by Sommerfeld et al. [4] was obtained with satisfied agreement. Ultralight particle exhibited the distinctively anisotropic dispersion characteristics, particle velocities at central core region, and their fluctuations both axial and tangential directions are smaller than those of heavier particles due to small inertia. At near inlet region, ultralight particle fluctuation velocities are larger than those of heavier particle and then gradually decreased toward downstream direction. Meanwhile, they are prone to be thrown out the out-edge recirculation near wall region. With the increasing ultralight particle mass loading ratio, the interactions between heavier and ultralight particles, and their anisotropic behavior was enhanced. Furthermore, the distributions of normal and shear particles Reynolds stresses, and interactions between ultralight and heavier particles are found to be redistributed.
