Simple and economic process was proposed to manufacture new composite from scrap elastomers (NR) matrix reinforced essentially with different content of aluminum powder. The principal goal of the present work was an improvement of mechanical performance of composites containing high amount of recycled elements, which were, in turn, required for specific applications. For this purpose, mechanical and morphological properties of the designed materials were investigated at various mixing ratio. The results revealed that aluminum powder incorporation had a good and specific effect on reshaped rubber behavior. SEM observations were presented to highlight that homogeneous distribution of the particulate reinforcements in the matrix was fundamental to guaranty the best performance. (C) 2020 Elsevier Ltd.
