Effects of Preferred vs. Nonpreferred Music on Resistance Exercise Performance

Summary: The study showed that listening to preferred music can increase overall bench press repetitions completed, improve movement velocity and power, and significantly enhance motivation during the lift, suggesting that individuals performing resistance exercises may benefit from listening to their preferred music to enhance performance.
