Effect of magnetic field and three-phase-lag in a rotating micropolar thermo-viscoelastic half-space homogeneous isotropic material

S. M. Abo-Dahab et al.

Summary: This paper focuses on the three-phase-lag theory of thermo-elasticity in a micropolar generalized thermo-viscoelastic medium, studying the effects of magnetic field, rotation, ramp parameter, viscosity, and phase-lag. The results show that magnetic field and rotation have no impact on non-dimensional temperature. The study highlights the significant influence of magnetic field, rotation, ramp parameter, viscosity, and phase-lag on the micropolar thermo-viscoelastic medium.

On propagation behavior of SH-wave and Rayleigh-type wave in an initially stressed exponentially graded fiber-reinforced viscoelastic layered structure

Shalini Saha et al.

Summary: This study investigates the propagation of SH-wave and Rayleigh-type wave in a layered structure with distinct initially stressed exponentially graded fiber-reinforced viscoelastic materials on a semi-infinite medium. By adopting analytical treatment, the complex frequency equation is obtained, providing dispersion and damped velocity equations for both surface waves. Numerical computation illustrates the influence of various parameters on the phase and damped velocities of the waves.

Problem of p- and SV-waves reflection and transmission during two media under three thermoelastic theories and electromagnetic field with and without gravity

S. M. Abo-Dahab et al.

Summary: This paper investigates the reflection and refraction of primary and shear waves in solid-liquid media under three thermoelastic theories, including initial stress and gravity. The study focuses on the behavior of thermoelastic waves at interfaces between different media with initial stress and magnetic fields, considering various thermoelastic theories. Results show the reflection and refraction coefficients as functions of angle of incidence, initial stress, electromagnetic field, and gravity, with special cases of presence or absence of initial stress or gravity being examined. Numerical calculations of reflection and refraction coefficients ratios for incident waves are presented to illustrate the phenomenon.
