Excess molar volume and viscosities of binary mixtures of di-n-butylether + n-alkanes (C-9-C-12) have been studied under atmospheric pressure at 298.15 K, 308.15 K and 318.15 K. Excess molar volume (V-m(E)), kinematic viscosity (nu) and deviation in dynamic viscosity (Delta eta) were derived using the experimentally measured data at all temperature. McAllister equation was used to predict the kinematic viscosity. The V-m(E) values for the binary mixtures were interpreted using Prigogine-Flory-Patterson theory (PFP) at 298.15 K and compared with experimental V-m(E) values qualitatively as well as quantitatively. Dynamic viscosity was analyzed with Bloomfield-Dewan model and Singh model and the predicted values were comparable with experimental value. The derived thermodynamic properties were also correlated well with Redlich-Kister polynomial. (C) 2020 Published by Elsevier B.V.
