Electrochemical synthesis of alpha-enaminones from aryl ketones

A novel approach to realize the synthesis of alpha-enaminones via an electrochemical oxidation was developed under mild conditions. This methodology opens up a simple and efficient strategy for the synthesis of alpha-enaminone derivatives in good yields. According to the control experiments, a plausible mechanism for the reaction was proposed.
