New synthesis penta tellurite glass in the molar percentages of [60 TeO2-(22-x)Bi2O3-15V(2)O(5)-3Na(2)O xTiO(2)] with x=0, 2, 4, 6, 8 and 10 mol% have been successfully prepared via conventional melt cast-quenching technique. The amorphous nature of the glass samples was confirmed by X-ray diffraction (XRD). Their densities were determined by Archimedes method using toluene as buoyant liquid. Values of the molar volume and the oxygen packing density were calculated then. The experimental elastic moduli were calculated by measuring ultrasound wave velocities (longitudinal and shear) using the pulse-echo-overlap technique at room temperature. Theoretical parameters based on bond compression and Makishima Mackenzie models were calculated in order to interpret the experimental elastic moduli. The glass transition temperature (T-g) and crystallization temperature (T-x) were measured by using Differential Scanning Calorimetry (DSC) as a function of TiO2. Structure modification was confirmed using Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR).
