Reliability of the force-velocity-power variables during ice hockey sprint acceleration

Jerome Perez et al.

Summary: The study aimed to determine the reliability of radar-derived profiling results from skating sprint accelerations using a sprint running force-velocity assessment approach. The findings suggest that using skating velocity to describe the performance can be a promising method to monitor training-induced changes in macroscopic mechanical variables of ice hockey skating performance.

Sprint force-velocity profiles in soccer players: impact of sex and playing level

Morgane Devismes et al.

Summary: This study found that male players at the highest competition level performed better in force-velocity characteristics, while female players at the highest competition level excelled in maximal power and velocity. Additionally, female players showed a more velocity-oriented Fv profile compared to male players.
