A green synthesized recyclable ZnO/MIL-101(Fe) for Rhodamine B dye removal via adsorption and photo-degradation under UV and visible light irradiation

Enas Amdeha et al.

Summary: Metal-organic frameworks (MOFs) have shown potential as catalysts for environmental applications, with ZnO/MIL-101(Fe) nanocomposites exhibiting high photocatalytic activity under visible light irradiation. The addition of acetic acid during synthesis and the loading of ZnO on MIL-101(Fe) were found to enhance the performance of the catalyst. Additionally, h(+) and (OH)-O-center dot were identified as key reactive species in the photocatalytic degradation of Rhodamine B.
