Au(I)-catalyzed domino intramolecular cyclization for the synthesis of 2,4-disubstituted pyrimidines

An efficient Au-catalyzed domino intramolecular cyclization reaction has been developed for the construction of pyrimidine derivatives from ynals and amidines at room temperature for 3 h. This transformation provides a new method for the formation of C-C and C-N bonds via intramolecular cyclization. (C) 2015 Published by Elsevier B.V.
