Graphene has many advantages and wide application prospect. However, the application of graphene is limited by its dispersing property. Therefore, in this paper, the mechanism of dispersion of reduced graphene is analyzed, and the effect of dispersion on the corrosion resistance of graphene composite self-assembled films is investigated by preparing graphene composite self-assembled films. The results shown that the graphene reduced by tea polyphenol (TP) has better dispersion in Dimethyl sulfoxide (DMSO) and water than that reduced by other two reducing agents (hydrazine hydrate (HH) and ascorbic acid (AA)) in one week. It is inferred from the reduction mechanism that the dispersion of graphene is determined by the edge group effect of graphene and the van der Waals force between molecules. Moreover, their corrosion resistances are studied by electrochemical methods and copper sulfate drop test. The R coat of TP- rGO composite film is about 2 times higher than that of other two graphene composite self-assembled films in EIS. The TP-rGO film's spot time is close to 46 s, almost twice as much as HH-rGO film. These results shown the TP-rGO composite film with better dispersion has better corrosion resistance.
