The Role of Self-Control and Identity Status as Predictors of Internet Addiction among Israeli-Palestinian College Students in Israel

Summary: This study found that higher levels of self-control were associated with lower risk of internet addiction, while achieved and moratorium identity statuses were related to lower risk of internet addiction, and foreclosed and diffused statuses were associated with higher risk of internet addiction. These findings suggest the importance of self-control and identity style in non-Western societies as well as Western cultures.
