Herein, a FeTiO3/Fe/C composite has been prepared by a facile method. This FeTiO3/Fe/C composite will be capable of obtaining two main advantages in lithium storage: one hand, the assemble clustered structure has larger surface and rich pores, therefore possessing enlarged contact interface between active materials and electrolyte, free space for accommodating the volume change, and more surface lithium storage sites; on the other hand, the metal Fe and carbon components can not only enhance the electronic conductivity but also further boost the structural stability of FeTiO3. As a result, the as-prepared FeTiO3/Fe/C composite reveals impressive electrochemical lithium storage performances.
