SiO2/TiO2 composites were fabricated from KH-570 modified nano-titanium dioxide and nano-silica. The waterborne nano-hybrid hyperbranched acrylic emulsion was synthesized by in-situ polymerization using waterborne acrylic acid as the auxiliary anti-corrosion material. The SiO2/TiO2 composites were characterized by Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy, thermogravimetic analysis, and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy. The structure and morphology of the waterborne nano-hybrid hyperbranched acrylic emulsion were characterized by scanning and transmission electron microscopies. Waterborne nano-hybrid hyperbranched coating based on waterborne nano-hybrid hyperbranched acrylic emulsion. The anti-corrosion properties of the waterborne nanohybrid hyperbranched acrylic coating were characterized by potentiodynamic polarization and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy. In salt-spray and wet adhesion tests, the waterborne nano-hybrid hyperbranched coating demonstrated an excellent anti-corrosion effect and the salt spray resistance exceeded 1000 h. In this paper, a novel environmentally friendly waterborne nano-hybrid hyperbranched acrylic emulsion was synthesized by in-situ polymerization method, and the corrosion resistance test proved that the resin has excellent anticorrosion performance. It has certain application value in metal protection.
