An open-aperture Z-scan experimental technique was used to evaluate parameters of the nonlinear scattering (NLS) in the photorefractive (PR) LiNbO3 crystals. NLS is related to the photoinduced light scattering caused by the holographic amplification of the seed scattering due to PR effect. The values of the NLS coefficient, amplification gain factor and seed scattering ratio were evaluated and found to be increasing with the light intensity.
