In this work, we first constructed a novel 2D nanosheet Ni@Cu-MOF as a high-performance catalyst electrode for Glu electro-oxidation in alkaline media. The Ni@Cu-MOF was studied by X-ray photo electron spectroscopy and X-ray diffraction techniques. The morphology and the structure of the Ni@Cu-MOF were studied by scanning electron microscopy. The Ni@Cu-MOF sensor presented a wide linear range (5 mu M to 2500 mu M), a low detection limit of 1.67 mu M (S/N = 3) and a high sensitivity of 1703.33 mu A mM(-1) cm(-2). Moreover, the Ni@Cu-MOF sensor exhibited excellent selectivity for common substances, inhuman serum and satisfied reproducibility. Totally, the high-performance MOF nanocomposite material possesses remarkable potential of glucose sensing applications.
