Enhanced photocatalytic performance of ZnSnO3/rGO nanocomposite

ZnSnO3/rGO nanocomposites were synthesized by thermal decomposition and hydrothermal methods. The synthesized sample was characterized by XRD, DRS-UV, FT-IR, Raman, FE-SEM and HR-TEM with EDX. The composite material was confirmed by X-Ray diffraction studies. In the ZnSnO3/rGO nanocomposites, M-O and M-O-M stretching vibration bands of the functional groups were investigated by FT-IR spectroscopy. These samples obtained for low bandgap energy at 3.3 and 2.8 eV and it was determined by a diffuse reflectance UV-Visible spectroscopy. As synthesized sample sheets like morphology and elemental confirmation analysis were carried out by FE-SEM and HR-TEM with EDX. The synthesized nanocomposites was testing for photocatalyst applications with used to the phenol and organic dyes degradation. The catalyst has a very good hydroxyl radical formation. And then this catalyst exhibits enhanced photocatalytic performance under visible light irradiation and it's against for Methylene blue (MB) dye. Moreover, these test repeated for four times finally gets better stability and reusability of the materials.
