In this paper we consider the problem of waveform design in correlated MIMO radars in order to increase SINR and range resolution. In the proposed method, we try to satisfy both practical constraints of having constant envelope waveforms and low side lobe levels in individual waveforms autocorrelation function and cross-correlation function. For this purpose, we have proposed an optimization problem in order to cohere the transmit power in the target direction and put radiation nulls in interference directions even at the transmitter. Next, we propose an algorithm in order to realize the designed covariance matrix under two mentioned practical constraints. Simulation results show that our proposed constant envelope waveforms achieve higher SINR level and better interference suppression capability compared to the recent introduced methods and results in increasing the range resolution.
