In this study, a series of Ca0.7Y0.3Ti0.7Al0.3O3:Dy3+ white-emitting phosphors were prepared using the sol-gel method, and Eu3+ were co-doped in Ca0.7Y0.3Ti0.7Al0.3O3:Dy3+ for excellent luminescence properties such as low CCT. The effects of synthesis temperature and Dy3+/Eu3+ concentrations on the crystal structure and luminescence properties of Ca0.7Y0.3Ti0.7Al0.3O3:Dy3+, Eu3+ phosphors were investigated. The X-ray diffraction results indicated that the Ca0.7Y0.3Ti0.7Al0.3O3:Dy3+, Eu3+ samples had a standard CaTiO3 structure. Under the excitation of 390 nm, Ca0.7Y0.3Ti0.7Al0.3O3:Dy3+ phosphors exhibited a white emission consisting of two emission peaks at 488 nm and 582 nm, which corresponded to the F-4(9/2) -> H-6(15/2) and F-4(9/2) -> H-6(13/2) transitions of Dy3+ ions, respectively. With the addition of Eu3+, a red emission appeared and significantly improved via the energy transfer from Dy3+ to Eu3+ ions, and a lower CCTvalue was achieved. Overall, Ca0.7Y0.3Ti0.7Al0.3O3:Dy3+, Eu3+ phosphors have potential applications in warm white light-emitting diodes as a single-component phosphor. (C) 2019 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved.
