Planar stagnation-point flow normally impinging a rotating plate is studied. Symmetries show that along a circle of radius r, the radial velocity u(r) can be computed from results in one quadrant and the angular velocity u(theta) can be computed from results in two quadrants. The results of this study for various values of the dimensionless angular velocity sigma are compared with axisymmetric Homann stagnation-point flow on a rotating plate first studied by Hannah.
