As a sustainable covalent organic framework photocatalyst, the hydrazone-based 2D-COF-1 was successfully applied to the heterogeneous visible-light-accelerated C3 arylation and alkylation of quinoxalin-2(1H)-ones with hydrazines. This protocol features high efficiency, good functional group tolerance, easy scalability and remarkable catalyst reusability. It widens the applications of photoactive two-dimensional covalent organic frameworks in visible-light-driven organic transformations. More information can be found in the Communication by X.
