The use of materials with appropriate parameters and properties is required for the construction of dynamically loaded structures. Reinforced concrete composites (RCC) belong to the most essential, and widely used construction materials for dynamic load-bearing structures. Therefore, the main problems related to the design of dynamically loaded RCC are analysed in this paper, and the most important characteristics of materials used for the construction of reinforced concrete structures subjected to dynamic loads are described. As a result of the conducted analysis, it was found that the concrete mix should have a low water/binder ratio. It is prepared using broken aggregates from igneous rocks and binders modified with mineral additives and chemical admixtures. This ensures a high degree of homogenisation of the composite, smaller internal micro-cracks and greater resistance to dynamic loads. Furthermore, the reinforcement of composites should contain a large amount of structural reinforcement to prevent shrinkage cracks.
