SiCnw-SiC/SiBCN composites were prepared through chemical vapor infiltration. Electromagnetic interference (EMI) shielding effectiveness (SE) provided by SiCnw-SiC/SiBCN composites with variable SiCnw loading was investigated at frequencies ranging from 8.2 to 12.4 GHz. SEA of the material was observed to increase significantly with increased SiCnw loading. SEA value increased by 22.4% compared to plain SiC/SiBCN composites at SiCnw loading of 6.74 wt%, reaching a maximum of 9.3 dB. SER values of the specimens varied from 4.3 to 5.4 dB, while SET. increased from 11.9 dB to 14.7 dB as SiCnw loading increased from 0 to 6.74 wt%. Absorption was identified as the dominant EMI shielding mechanism.
