A superhydrophobic polyester textile (SPT) with easily repairable ability was obtained by modifying pristine textile (RT) with PDMS and paraffin wax under 120 degrees C, the textile fiber became compact and exhibited clear micronano structures by a strong interact of PDMS/wax and textiles. The as prepared textiles exhibit satisfactory stability after mechanical abrasion and chemical-corrosion. Furthermore, the coated textiles possess excellent self-cleaning ability and could be used to selectively separate various kinds of oil-water mixture. More interestingly, the fabric can recover its super liquid-repellent property after drying at room temperature even after immersing in water for a week. This work provides a facile strategy to prepare an environment safety superhydrophobic polyester textile for practical utilization.
