Silver and gold nanoparticles were synthesized using stem aqueous extract of Angelica gigas by method of green chemistry. The phytochemicals present in the A. gigas (AG) extract is responsible for the formation of silver and gold nanoparticles, which is potential source for biosynthesis method. The qualitative characterization of synthesized silver and gold nanoparticles were done by Field emission transmission electron microscopy (FE-TEM) Energy-dispersive X-ray spectroscopy (EDX), elemental mapping and X-ray diffraction analysis (XRD) and Fourier transform infrared analysis (FTIR). In our study, the synthesized silver (AG-AgNPs) and gold (AG-AuNPs) were performed the photocatalytic activity on Eosin Y (EY) and Malachite green (MG) dye degradation under UV irradiation. The eco-friendly way synthesized silver and gold nanoparticles could play a role in the application of environmental remediation.
