In this study, molybdenum disulfide-reduced graphene oxide (MoS2-RGO) composites, as ideal electromagnetic (EM) wave absorbing materials, were synthesized by one-step hydrothermal method, and their morphology, components, structure and EM wave absorbing performances were characterized. The results show that the EM wave absorbing performances of MoS2-RGO composites were dependent on the graphene oxide (GO) content. When the original amount of GO was 20 mg, the minimum reflection loss (RL) value of MoS2-RGO composites was -48.54 dB at 6.70 GHz with a thickness of 3.5 mm, and effective reflection losses were obtained in a wide range of 3.98-15.28 GHz with the thickness of 2.0-5.0 mm. Especially, the 3 mm and 8 mm wave attenuation performances of composites were explored in detail, and the maximum attenuation values were 21.75 and 21.83 dB, respectively. In consequence, MoS2-RGO composites are expected to be good electromagnetic wave absorbing materials in broadband.
