Single-phased Sr4Ca(PO4)2(SiO4):Dy3 +, M+ (M = Li, Na, K) phosphors have been prepared via a solid-state reaction. Their phase structures, photoluminescence (PL), photoluminescence excitation spectra (PLE), and decay curves were studied, respectively. Under ultraviolet irradiation, the Sr4Ca(PO4)2(SiO4):Dy3 + samples exhibit a white light emission of the host matrix due to the characteristic blue emission band (480 nm) and yellow-light emission(574 nm) of Dy3+. Furthermore, with incorporating Li +, Na +, or K+ ions as charge compensation agents, the emission intensities were obviously enhanced compared to that of Sr4Ca(PO4) 2(SiO4):Dy3+ due to the charge balance and symmetry adjustment of crystal field. Moreover, thermal quenching luminescence measurement of Sr3.92Li0.04Ca(PO4)2SiO4:0.04Dy3 + exhibits good thermal stability. Therefore, the results reveal that the Sr4Ca(PO4)2(SiO4):Dy3 +, M+ (M = Li, Na, K) phosphors can be used as a potential single-component white light emitter for application in near- UV excited white light emitting diodes (w-LED).
