Transient hygro-thermo-mechanical stresses analysis in multi-layers bonded structure with coupled bidirectional model

In a previous work, a one dimensional analytical model of coupled hygro-thermo-mechanical analysis is proposed for multi-layers bonded structure. Even if a coupled mechanism using one dimensional model is well demonstrated, there is a lack of understanding of the coupled mechanism using bidirectional model . In present work, a novel bidirectional stress method is formulated to approach the interfacial, the axial and the transversal stresses of bonded multi-layers joints subjected to hygrothermomechanical loads. Differential equations are developed in both directions. Analytical and numerical solutions for the moisture diffusion process are obtained using Fick law's and heat transfer analysis. A comparison with one dimensional analytical model is made to check the accuracy and efficiency of the present method. Transient analysis of hygrothermomechanical stresses are solved analytically in time and spatial domain.
